Healthy Behavior for Elementary School (SDN Kalisalak Batang)

Biologically, a child (children) is generally a human between the stages of birth and puberty. The legal definition of child generally refers to a minor, otherwise known as a person younger than the age of majority.
Child may also describe a relationship with a parent (such as sons and daughters of any age) or, metaphorically, an authority figure, or signify group membership in a clan, tribe, or religion; it can also signify being strongly affected by a specific time, place, or circumstance, as in "a child of nature" or "a child of the Sixties"

Cleanliness is one of the key factors for maintaining health, hygiene unfortunately it is rarely used as a priority value to be imparted to children from an early age in the family and at school. Actually clean habits in adulthood, is determined by the clean living habits since childhood. Therefore, educate and instill the concept of clean healthy for children should be started at an early age. Introducing the concept of early hygiene means since newborns are introduced to the concept of clean living. Parents, always trying to keep the body and the baby's clothes. Thus, the infant gradually child will be familiar with the concept of clean and feel uncomfortable if the environment is dirty. Furthermore, at the age of five a child who has been able to communicate well and maybe a bit much can be given various interpretations by the argument, then the concept of cleanliness that you want can be taught with communication while playing and others.

Familiarize clean living family has various advantages, such as: the whole family will be healthy and avoid the various diseases that arise because of a lifestyle that is not clean. For example: a person can suffer from diarrhea just because lazy to wash hands before taking food or let the food is not covered or treated in a way that is not hygienic. Likewise with used clothing, should be washed every day because of dirty clothes is where the growth and development of fungi that can cause a variety of skin diseases. And skin diseases in children, usually the recovery will take quite a long time because the child usually cannot resist the urge to scratch excessively itchy skin.

Here are some ways to maintain cleanliness bodies of children everyday:
1.      Bathe your toddler with soap 2 (two) times a day.
2.      Wash your hair with shampoo toddler at least 3 (three) times a week.
3.      Make it a habit to wash your toddler hands with soap before eating, after urinating, after defecating and after playing.
4.      Keep your toddler's ear.
5.      Soon fingernail clippers and your toddler toenails if started long.
6.      Teach your toddler and make it a habit to defecate and urinate in the toilet.
7.      Always keep clothing, toys and bedding used by the child.
8.      Always keep the cleanliness of food, drinks and a place that used to serve it.

Elementary School (SDN Kalisalak Batang) as a primary school who pay attention to hygiene education students, the school held a little physician activities for students. This activity is supported by a Batang-III health centers by sending doctors and health professionals to guide students in practice healthy habits.
